ATA lead the feasibility study, looking at the whole school buildings. A consultation process included school governors, staff and schoolchildren was undertaken thorough workshops and ideas meetings. Alternative proposals were identified, reviewed and resullts presented to all who had taken part.
A technical study was also undertaken which looked at the problems of poor insulation and ventilation and makes sustainable refurbishment proposals, based on innovative ATA research work through the `Retrofit for the Future’ programme.
Phased refurbishment work is planned in achievable stages. Value for money is achieved through careful design, accurate well researched specification and close co-ordination with contractor.
